Insurance
Dealing with insurance can be confusing, so please reach out with any coverage questions.
If you request an appointment with me and I can not accept your plan, I will make sure you are aware of all of your options in our community. I do offer a sliding scale for families with WIC or TennCare whose insurance plans I can not bill directly.
Most visits will be 100% covered by your insurance plan! Currently, we accept the following plans:
Aetna
Tricare East
Wellpoint Tenncare
Click the links above if your insurance provider is hyperlinked to complete necessary registration for your insurance company. All other insurance providers will be submitted directly to your insurance company.

Most insurance companies cover lactation visits as preventative care, meaning they are 100% covered (AKA $0 out-of-pocket). Some cost sharing (like a co-pay) may apply in some cases, but we will be able to verify your benefits and let you know of this beforehand.

We offer home visits and telehealth visits. Most concerns can be addressed via telehealth, but it is great to do an in-person visit to address concerns about latch. Prenatal breastfeeding classes are my favorite visit; I love to see a family supported with the information to meet their goals prior to the birth of their baby. We will be opening an office in Maryville, TN soon to have more insurance-covered breastfeeding support available to our Blount county families!

For initial follow-up, most issues can be resolved withing 2-3 visits. It is always great to have a prenatal visit, initial and follow-up postpartum visits, pumping planning/return-to-work visits, and starting solids visits. I am also available to meet with you to troubleshoot any issues your family may be having with weaning when it is desired.

We will always work to get your care covered by your insurance company and avoid referrals to costly out-of-pocket providers.
